A Landmark Step Towards Justice for Ex-Cadets of Indian Armed Forces: On 18th August 2025, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India observed during a hearing that cadets who suffer injuries during training and are not absorbed into the Defence Forces cannot simply be left to their fate. The Court emphasized that the Union of India must ensure their medical expenses are supported and alternative employment opportunities are provided. This observation brings long-awaited hope for hundreds of Ex-Cadets —young girls & boys who aspired to serve the nation but were “boarded out ” upon sustaining injuries during training.
